I just came back from a great week in London. I had to go there to record a few songs for a side project so I took advantage of that and asked my boss a few days off to enjoy the rainy city of squirrels. I stayed at my French-Spanish friends' Olivier and Antonio who were very kind to have me in their living room for almost a week and took care of me the day I was sick. Probably for eating to many blackberries...
Well, on the first day there I met Vadim and Pugs Atomz to shoot part of the video for the song we did together for my EP. As the weather was shit, raining allday, we had to change the plans we had and improvise plans in Vadim's living room with the help of their friend Paz, which turned out to be much fun.

I also was able to meet Ty. We had a good chat about our collaboration and decided to organize a video shoot for it. Ty kindly offered to give me a hand to find someone to do the video with in London. let see how it goes. After eating sushis we went for a walk in the center and took some pictures.

Petit cookie maison aux chocolate chips en dessert et nous reprirent notre chemin jusqu'à la nuit tombée, dans un jardin où quelques fans de musique et de vinyles jouaient leurs disques en buvant une bière. Nice!
Last monday, I met with two nice and very interesting persons in Brussels.
Both have the same name, Julien.
One is the person behind the great LAIDBACK RADIO also new media consultant.
If you want to know more about him, here's a cool interview of him. We met a the Belga Café Place Flagey. This Julien will advice me and help me promote my new EP later on this year.
The other Julien also goes by the name of Veuch. He is amongst other thing a great graffiti artist. We had a couple of drinks and a nice chat at Roi des Belges.
With him we will work on the artwork and the whole image of this new project.
To meet and share ideas with such talented, dynamic and inspiring people give me the energy I need to finish this EP.
The process is as important as the result. It's about meeting people, learning, growing, traveling, sharing and the list goes on and on.
I will be presenting each and every person who collaborates on this EP!
Early March, I flew to Barcelona where I spent 3 days with my homies Beatspoke. We worked on a track for my new EP. As usual we had a great time together, great food, great wine, the weather was incredible!!! We manage to write and record most of the track on a great beat by Josh. It is always for me a great pleasure to work with them because I feel very comfortable in their studio and it's ALWAYS a lot of fun!! Thank you Beatspoke!!

Inutile de vous dire que je vais en profiter pour boire une bonne bière fraîche et manger une ou deux gaufres. Je profite du voyage pour faire une halte à Bruxelles pour passer du temps avec JoBee qui m'accueille chaleureusement dans son appart.
Lundi, je vois Julien de Laidback Radio qu'on ne présente plus et Julien aka Veuch que je vais rencontrer pour la première fois. j'aime beaucoup son travail...On va voir si on peut bidouiller un truc ensemble pour mon projet.
Mon aventure barcelonaise entre 2001 et 2007 a été une incroyable expérience, ultra enrichissante sur bien des points et notamment sur le plan musical. En fouillant dans mes vidéos, j'ai retrouvé celle-ci. Il s'agit d'un concert d'Aerolineas Subterraneas, le groupe avec qui j'ai fait un bout de chemin en tant que choriste. AS c'est le projet mené par Marco Fonktana, élégant et talentueux lyriciste espagnol, ma première rencontre de la scène Hip Hop de la capitale catalane, entouré par toute une troupe de musiciens au top et deux choristes, Welelo et moi. On a fait des dizaines de concerts, en Catalogne, à Madrid, Valence et j'ai même eu la chance de les faire venir jouer en Bretagne devant un public surchauffé!! Chaque concert était une excuse pour faire la teuf, dans un bain de fumées toxiques, d'alcool et de bonne humeur, j'ai kiffé grave!!! J'étais la seule fille dans une bande de mec...peut être la raison pour laquelle j'adorais porter les cheveux très courts à l'époque?? Ladi6 (Karoline Tamati) is New Zealands premier female vocalist MC. She is renowned for her energetic live performances, sublime soulful vocals and conscious lyrics. She is about to release her debut solo album, yet she has cemented herself as a key player in the New Zealand music scene. Ladi6 started her musical career as part of New Zealands first all-girl hip-hop group Sheelahroc. Sheelahroc had the hit track If I Gave You The Mic and from the success of this track Ladi6 was nominated for Best Vocalist/MC at the 2003 bNet music awards. (...) L'Année en Décembre est mon premier album. Réalisé par mon ami Supafuh, écrit et enregistré entre Barcelone, Lyon, Orléans et Paris, cet album est mon premier vrai projet. Je suis très contente du résultat dans son ensemble. Sur cet album intimiste, j'ai invité des artistes rencontrés au détours de mes voyages. 16 tracks remplis de moi, un peu de Brest, beaucoup de Barcelone, des mes expériences, de mes rencontres et réflexions, le tout dans un magnifique Digipack joliment élaboré par mon ami Chris d'après une photo de Hanamatsuri.

A Paris depuis 4 ans, je suis née près de Brest, au bout de la terre. J'ai vécu 6 ans à Barcelone. J'aime la musique, écrire, la bonne bouffe, Barcelone, le cranberries juice, les rencontres qui changent la vie, la mer, mes potes éparpillés, un bon verre de vin, les voyages et l'humour plat . Je pense avoir été un poisson dans une vie antérieure. J'ai sorti mon premier album: L'Année en Décembre, puis Ainsi de Suite, un beau 33 tours vinyle blanc.
